Zoom says “You cannot authorize RecordFlow for Admins”

Nothing is wrong with your account or ours — this is a one-time Zoom setting, not a bug.

Admin app· Updated August 14, 2026

What's happening

Zoom lets an account owner or admin require that any marketplace app be approved before someone on the account can install it. This is a setting on your Zoom account, not something RecordFlow controls — there's no whitelist on our side to add you to.

If RecordFlow isn't marked approved for your account yet, every Owner and Admin login hits the same error, because the block happens before Zoom ever shows the authorization screen.

The fast fix

  1. 1Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as your account owner or admin.
  2. 2Click Manage in the top right, then Permissions.
  3. 3Turn off the requirement that apps be pre-approved, or leave it on and just approve RecordFlow: open our admin listing and approve use of the app under App permissions.
  4. 4Head to recordflow.org/sign-in and click "Sign in as a Zoom admin" to finish the install.

Other ways to fix it

Only your Zoom account owner or an admin with Marketplace management permission can change this setting — if that's not you, forward this page to whoever manages your Zoom account.

Zoom's own help center covers both options in more detail: "Admin management of the Zoom App Marketplace" and "Approving apps and managing app requests".
